Burnside Lacrosse Club also supports junior teams in local schools and runs training and development programs for schools who wish to introduce their students to the amazing sport of lacrosse.

While the primary focus revolves around the main field lacrosse season from April to September, differing formats of lacrosse including Box Lacrosse, Junior and Senior indoor competitions, sofcrosse, University and IGSSA competitions offer opportunities to enjoy lacrosse year round.

**  The International Governing body for Lacrosse - called the FIL (Federation of International Lacrosse) publishes an annual list of Women's lacrosse sticks and pocket requirements that are 'Legal' to use Internationally.  These are a requirement at some competition levels.
